Two Wheel Jones at Prescott Punisher 4/10/10

Nate Rees almost pulled off another win in the 15-18 Cat 2 group but was held off in the sprint for the finish in a race that ended with a deep sandy curve. Garrett Chott fell victim to a cut tire in one of the water crossings but was able to get it fixed in time for 5th, also in the 15-18 Cat 2 group. I was able to come up with a 7th place finish in 40-49 Cat 2 despite having a stomach cramp for the first lap. Trying to catch up on hydration in the half hour before the race was a bad idea. This race was held at the Alto Pit OHV area which gives the course lots of loose decomposed granite, many banked turns and numerous steep climbs.
